Über mich

Hallo und herzlich Willkommen auf meinem Blog!

Mein Name ist Jörg Wassink und ich bin seit dem Jahr 2000 in der Kommunikationsbranche tätig! Seit August 2019 arbeite ich als Director Marketing & Communications beim Digital Solutions-, Consulting- und Software-Haus valantic.com. In dieser Funktion leite ich das Shared Service Center Marketing der valantic Gruppe und unterstütze das Unternehmen beim Auf- und Ausbau sämtlicher Marketing- und Kommunikations-Aktivitäten.  

Vor meiner Zeit bei valantic war ich zwei Jahre als Head of Marketing bei der ngena GmbH angestellt, die als Start-up von der Deutschen Telekom und etlichen anderen Telekommunikationsanbietern gegründet wurde. Davor war ich 10 Jahre als Head of PR & Social Media für Zentraleuropa (DACH & Polen) bei der Sage Software GmbH in Frankfurt am Main tätig. Dort begeistert mich neben der klassischen Presse- und Öffentlichkeitsarbeit vor allem das Thema Social Media!

Vor meiner Zeit bei Sage war ich u.a. Leiter der Internen und Externen Kommunikation bei der COLT Telecom GmbH sowie Teamleiter in der PR-Agentur denkfabrik (Hürth) sowie Redakteur beim Fachmagazin iConomy.

In meiner Freizeit beschäftige ich mich vor allem mit meiner Familie! Und wenn die Zeit es zulässt bin ich am liebsten am Meer und gehe Windsurfen!

About myself

Hello and welcome to my blog!

My name is Jörg Wassink, and I am the Head of Marketing at ngena GmbH, a start-up founded in 2016 by Deutsche Telekom and several other telco providers. Before ngena, I was Head of PR & Social Media at Sage, responsible for Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Poland. Since the beginning of my communications career in 2000, I was able to gain considerable experience and a proven track record in many communication areas, such as public relations, social media marketing, content marketing & digital lead generation, analyst relations, internal communications and many more.

Before joining Sage, I was Head of Internal and External Communications at British telco, COLT Telecom Group (2004-2007). Before that, I started my career as a journalist at the ICT magazine iConomy, and worked as PR manager at PR agency denkfabrik (2000-2003) in the capacity of account manager for ICT-companies such as Infor, COLT, Sterling Commerce (now: IBM), Stellent (now: Oracle) and others.
